Been speaking to this person on one of those dreaded dating apps and for about a week and it went quite well lots of shared interests, they provided with me their number and their socials so I went with social media as it felt more casual to continue the conversation on.

Sent the request they accepted and sent a message across then boom silence, message wasn’t opened yet he watched my story the night we added each other. Still matched on the app and still following each other but he hasn’t opened the message.

I thought we was moving off the app to sort out meeting up but I’ve heard nothing back, friends are telling me the dos and don’ts of dating saying don’t double text. There’s nothing really that could turn them off on my socials it’s quite barren honestly, so do I listen to friends and not message again?
